Attorney Valria Screen has entered the race for the District 3 county commission seat currently held by Audrey Edmonson. While I doesn't' seem like that long ago, Edmonson was appointed to complete the term when Barbara Carey resigned in 2005; Edmonson was elected in 2006.
Screen, a Republican, has been appointed to several gubernatorial committees and has previously run for public office.
This could be an interesting race. Stay tuned.
