Miami-Dade developer Oscar Rivero was sentenced to 21 months in prison for his role in a county housing scam that did not produce promised housing for residents. He was at the heart of the Miami Herald's prize winning series, House of Lies.
Rivero admitted to using $711K to purchase his personal residence.
In exchange for the light sentence, Rivero will cooperate with law enforcement and provide the names of others involved.
