On November 29th at 6:30 PM, CBS4 presents "The I-Team Investigates: A CBS4 News Special," a trio of new groundbreaking I-Team investigations. CBS4's Antonio Mora hosts the new special which features I-Team investigators Michele Gillen and Stephen Stock, and political reporter Michael Williams. This will be the second in an ongoing series of I-Team specials. It follows the widely-viewed special broadcast on November 1, which exposed trucking dangers on the roadways, construction troubles at the new Marlins Stadium, and South Florida's role as a center of Medicare fraud. The new special features the following reports: The Anatomy of a Ponzi Scheme... What do Bernie Madoff, Andres Pimstein, Allen Stanford, and now Scott Rothstein have in common? They are all accused of running huge ponzi schemes, ripping off thousands of investors to the tune of billions of dollars. How do ponzi schemes work? And how do victims get pulled in? Political Reporter Michael Williams looks at the factors common to many of these schemes, and the things to look out for in order to avoid becoming a victim. The Few, The Proud, The Forgotten... Former military officers and children of the military are in the fight of their lives as they face alarming rates of breast cancer, motor neuron diseases and other illnesses. One of the bases that they lived on was contaminated with toxic poisons. A CBS4 investigation shows how the government hid this information for years. Chief I-Team Investigator Michele Gillen heads to Washington to get the answers. Brothers to the Rescue: Secrets Behind the Shootdown... The CBS4 I-Team uncovers the truth behind what happened when two Brothers to the Rescue planes were shot down over the Florida Straits in February 2006. After digging through secret documents, and interviewing major players in this historic saga, I-Team Investigator Stephen Stock pieces together the facts about what really happened to cause four people to lose their lives when their planes were shot down by Cuban MIGs. WFOR and WBFS/My 33 are part of CBS Television Stations, a division of CBS Corporation. CBS4 is "always on."
