Mayor Alvarez under scrutiny again

Wow. Mayor Carlos Alvarez is in the hot seat again as he is forced to address the use of paid administrative leave by his chief of staff, Denis Morales who traveled to Panama and was paid for a consulting job. It seems Morales was advised to use his vacation time but he didn’t.

It’s precisely that kind of blatant disregard for procedures that some leaders in the black community use to justify their own misdeeds. The Mayor must make sure such actions by his staff don’t continue unless he wants to add momentum to the recall drive against him.
