It's so difficult to fathom that 16 year-old Kit Darrant killed his mother, Renette Emile, by choking and stabbing her. By his account, the two quarreled about his late hours.
While his mother's body decomposed, Darrant had friends over to the apartment and took care of his younger brother. A concerned aunt went to the apartment and found Emile's body. Frightening.
