The Bethune-Cookman University Wildcats meet the University
of Miami Hurricanes today at noon at Sun Life Stadium in what is viewed as a
‘cupcake’ football game for UM. The Canes have reason play hard to redeem
themselves after the 52-13 loss to the Kansas State Wildcats last week.
While conventional wisdom dictates an upset by the Wildcats over the Canes is unlikely, BCU’s team is tough and last year’s 45-14 loss to UM was not indicative of the challenge they gave UM.
This game should be old home week for many Cookman students as their football team’s roster includes a number of football players from South Florida, not to mention dozens in the school’s marching band and a number of alumni who will be cheering them on.
Kickoff is at noon and will be broadcast on ESPN. Don’t expect to see the entire half-time show unless you’re in the stadium.
