Greater Miami Youth Symphony Summer Programs

The Greater Miami Youth Symphony announces its seventh annual Summer Camp season to run from June 10 to August 9 with the option to join Advanced, Intermediate or Beginning level sessions at four different locations in Miami-Dade County.

Students at intermediate and advanced camp will have the opportunity to advance their musicianship skills by participating in orchestra, band, chamber ensembles, instrumental classes, and electives including improvisation and music theory. Intermediate camp will also include daily literacy and physical education classes. Beginner camps will provide a variety of fun enriching music activities, as well as beginning string and wind instruments.

Participating locations include the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center (advanced camp), South Miami High School (intermediate camp), Atala Montessori School (beginners camp), and the Deering Estate at Cutler (beginners camp). GMYS offers parents flexible and affordable options to pay for summer camp through the help of our sponsors, including The Children's Trust.

The Greater Miami Youth Symphony welcomes children with disabilities to participate in our summer camps.  Summer camps will also include presentations by guest artists.
