Bus Operator position offers career opportunities and benefits

Miami-Dade Transit is seeking applicants for the position of part-time Bus Operator. The department will be accepting applications online, from March 2nd through March 16, 2015.

Learn as you Earn

Those who are selected can earn as they learn. 
Bus Operator trainees earn $14.61 per hour, and continue gaining experience as part-time Bus Operators.

After successfully graduating from a 10-week training program, Bus Operators will receive $15.38 per hour.

Miami-Dade County benefits will be explained to applicants during orientation.

Bus Operators are also eligible to apply for other positions within Miami-Dade Transit - offering them career advancement within the largest transit department in Florida and one of the largest in the United States.

Requirements

To be selected, applicants must successfully pass a background screening and physical exam, and must have the following:

  • A high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED)

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY PARKS ISSUES CALL FOR JOB APPLICANTS: ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS THRU NOVEMBER 22 FOR TEMPORARY SPECIAL EVENT POSITIONS

MIAMI— Are you looking for an exciting temporary job opportunity to work with the Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department? Then look no further, the Department is issuing a call for temporary job applicants to fill the staffing needs of a special event taking place during March 2014, on Key Biscayne, FL.  Duties will range from, but are not limited to, grounds maintenance, parking operations, customer service, cashier, and pre/post event site prep/breakdown.  Applications for these temporary Miami-Dade County Parks positions will only be accepted November 4-22, 2013. 

Applicants must apply via the Miami-Dade County Online Employment Application site at www.miamidade.gov/jobs.  Individuals must be at least 17 years old. 

All applicants selected will be required to successfully pass a drug/alcohol screen and criminal background check prior to employment.  The deadline for applying is November 22, 2013.
