A special election is scheduled for Tuesday, January 13, to fill the City of South Miami commission seat vacated by Randy Wiscombe for personal reasons. The candidates are Valerie Newman; Shawn Crews; Javier Baños; Frank Cuzzocrea Jr.; and Levy Kelly.
