Miami Herald: North Miami Beach voters toss out mayor, City Council incumbent

Posted on Wednesday, May. 06, 2009

North Miami Beach has a new mayor and two new City Council members in Tuesday's elections.

Council member Myron Rosner defeated incumbent Mayor Raymond Marin, who has been on the council for 20 years, by about 300 votes.

In the Group 5 seat, incumbent Frantz Pierre beat former council member Kenneth DeFillipo by six votes. That race will have to be recounted because of the narrow margin, as election rules stipulate.
