Recently, it was announced that the City of Homestead Veterans Day parade was off and several organizations had withdrawn their participation but now it's back on. It seems that a sponsor has been secured that does not have an aversion to the display of the confederate flag.

Expect a response very soon from Bishop Victor Curry, president of the local branch of the NAACP. Folks on both sides of this issue are passionate about the display of the confederate flag. This latest development will surely lead to another protest march, boycott or calls for the federal government to intercede. Stay tuned.
