Delou Africa To Host Three Day African Dance & Drum Cultural Festival August 6th-8th at

Delou Africa Inc. is hosting their Inaugural African Diaspora Dance and Drum Festival of Florida. This three-day cultural arts festival and conference will feature workshops, symposiums, a concert, and children’s village. Activities will include drum and dance workshops from Senegal, Ivory Coast, Guinea, and the Caribbean. Music workshops will focus on a variety of instruments including balafon, shekere, djembe, djun-djun, kutiro, and Africa songs.
Special happenings will take place including yoga, storytelling, face painting, artist lectures, Rites of Passage for Children and Families, and a raffle for 2 round trip tickets to South Africa. Culminating events include a concert extravaganza, a cultural reception, and a Dance Intense Collective.
The festival and conference will take place Friday August 6 – Sunday August 8 at the Little Haiti Cultural Center, 212-260 NE 59th Terr. Miami, FL.
