Hosted by CBS4's Shannon Hori and featuring special reports from I-Team reporters Stephen Stock and Jim DeFede, the program will present in-depth investigations that affect the South Florida community.

The segments:

Aviation Insecurity- Security Theatre- Reported by Stephen Stock

Stephen StockWhat goes on behind the scenes when you check-in to board an airplane? Does removing your shoes at the security gate really help keep you safe? Does the screening and metal detector really work? Do these methods simply appear to make air travel safe or are they really effective? Insiders shed secrets from behind the scenes and members of Congress demand change.

Aviation Insecurity- The Open Back Door- Reported by Stephen Stock

With all the attention given to checkpoint screening, is the rest of the airport and access to airplanes kept safe? How many people get access to critical aviation assets at our local airports? How secure is the "back door?" The I-Team goes behind the scenes and under cover to expose loopholes and openings in security that put entire airports at risk.

A Charter School Education- Reported by Jim DeFede

Jim DeFedeWhen Rise Academy opened in a Florida City strip mall in 2008, its 26-year-old founder promised to do "whatever it takes" to meet the needs of students in the area. Two years and $3 million later, the charter school is closed, its students and teachers scattered, and the State Attorney's Office has been asked to investigate where the money went. CBS4 I-Team investigator Jim DeFede examines the rise and fall of Rise, a school that has been described as both the best and the worst charter school in South Florida. As DeFede reports, the fight to close the school came at a time when more charter schools than ever are operating across the country, but the story of Rise Academy shows us that good intentions can only get you so far.
