October’s Financial Tip by Lisa Rogers-Cherry: Still coming up short financially?

Emptypockets

In the past I’ve suggested clipping coupons, hosting garage sales, cutting your cable, making a grocery list, creating a budget and 95 other things to help people to save money.  Yet, I get call after call, letter after letter from my readers saying that they are still coming up short financially.  My response is something a good friend shared with me some years ago. You can’t keep doing the same things and expect a different result.  You must change your bad habits.

What are currently doing?  Is it smoking? Drinking something that’s not healthy (sodas or alcohol)? Is it playing lottery? Buying stuff that you know that you don’t need? OUCH! What bad habit is taking the biggest portion of your money and throwing it out of the window?  Be honest with yourself.  NOW, do what you need to do to stop it!
