Miami Dade College Recognized by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for Innovative Strategies to Keep Students in College

On Wednesday, May 18, 2011, representatives from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation visited Miami Dade College (MDC) to announce that they have selected the college to receive funding through its Completion by Design (CBD) program, a five-year project that will engage a select group of high-performing colleges in identifying and implementing innovative solutions to increase the number of college graduates across the nation. The grant recognizes MDC’s role as a trailblazer in developing innovative strategies to support student achievement and degree completion.
