Miami Dade College’s Jazz at Wolfson Presents Continues Series with Saxophonist Mike Rossi Oct. 5

Miami, FL – Miami Dade College’s (MDC) Arts and Philosophy Department continues its successful jazz series, Jazz at Wolfson Presents, with saxophonist Mike Rossi, at noon Wednesday, Oct. 5. These monthly concerts that run from September through April are free and open to the public.
Rossi is the first recipient of the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Jazz Studies from the New England Conservatory of Music. He presently serves as president of the South African Association for Jazz Education, following three terms as secretary and is a member of the Jazz Education Network and the International Association of Schools of Jazz.
The 2011-12 Jazz at Wolfson Presents season continues Nov. 8 with the Wolfson Jazz Ensembles; trumpeter Brian Lynch on Nov. 9; pianists Kemuel Roig on Dec. 7 and Michael Orta on Jan. 18, 2012; drummer Nate Smith on Feb. 15; the Wolfson Jazz Ensembles will return on Mar. 20; vocalist Nicole Yarling on Mar. 21; and vibist Dick Sisto will close out the series on April 18.
