Socially Speaking: Community Organizations Dominate Weekend Events

The social scene was quite busy in South Florida this past weekend with events sponsored by several organizations. There were public luncheons honoring new members inducted in the Gamma Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in Miami as well as the Greater Miami Chapter and the Fort Lauderdale Chapter of The Links, Incorporated.

The South Florida graduate chapters of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity united for their always elegant Black & White Ball. This year's entertainment was singer Freddie Jackson. The South Broward Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority sponsored their Deltas After Dark Soiree, the Omegas had their Que Boogaloo and the Chi Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha celebrated their seventh anniversary with a luncheon featuring past regional director Irene McCollum.
