Trayvon Martin Watch: George Zimmerman Turns Himself in After Bond Revoked
Sunday, June 03, 2012
As of this post, it has been reported that George Zimmerman, the man who shot and killed Miami Gardens teen Trayvon Martin, has surrendered to authorities in Seminole County, FL. It was determined Zimmerman and his wife were not truthful about his financial condition during his bond hearing and it was revoked.
At the center of the revocation issue is the money raised for Zimmerman via a website. The establishment of the website was not a secret as it was blasted all over the media. So this brouhaha about Zimmerman’s indigence and perjury at this stage is bizarre…questionable…interesting. I mean, who didn’t know about that website? Really?
To be fair, access to the Zimmerman funds is another issue but far as I know, it was to help Zimmerman and his family with expenses. In this case, bail would definitely qualify as an expense.
For sure George Zimmerman has a huge credibility problem. Some things just can’t be explained away, at least not believably. Before Trayvon Martin supporters get too excited, it is possible that Zimmerman could be offered bond again.
