Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson arrested for domestic violence against Evelyn Lozada and released from the Miami Dolphins.
Much of South Florida is talking about the arrest of Miami Dolphins wide receiver Chad Johnson, formerly known as Chad Ochocinco, on domestic violence charges. It seems Johnson and wife Evelyn Lozada become embroiled in an argument Saturday night when she found a receipt for condoms in the trunk of their car.
At some point, Johnson grabbed her and head butted her causing a deep laceration on her forehead that led to bleeding, according to Lozada. Johnson said it was an accident and they both butted heads. He was arrested, held in Broward County jail overnight and bailed out only to be cut by the Miami Dolphins Sunday.
Johnson was already in hot water with the Miami Dolphins coaching staff for using profanity in an interview and other off-color comments. The Dolphins 20-7 pre-season loss to the Tampa Bay Bucs Friday night and Johnson's less than stellar game performance likely added to the tense Saturday evening incident.
For sure this drama will be covered in an upcoming episode of 'Hard Knocks,' the Miami Dolphins' reality show on HBO. Johnson and Lozada were prominently featured in the premiere episode of the show and Lozada is already known for her role on 'Basketball Wives' as the fiancée of former Miami Heat player Antoine Walker.
Now, let's pray Chad Johnson gets his life together after this incident and doesn't resort to doing porno as he joked earlier. For now, Johnson is taking a beating in the new social media networks but the public did the same thing to Chris Brown after he beat Rihanna.
