Miami Rescue Mission (MRM), serving Miami-Dade and Broward Counties, received a $20,000 grant from The Mary Kay Foundation. The check was presented by Jessica Bier, the great granddaughter of Mary Kay Ash (Founder of Mary Kay).
MRM will use the grant to provide critical support for its Center for Women and Children.
“We’re seeing so many more women with children in need. We’re very grateful to everyone at the Mary Kay Foundation. Our vision is No One is Homeless and this award will help us to continue serving so many in need,” stated Rev. Ronald Brimmed, President, MRM.
“The Mary Kay Foundation is committed to breaking the cycle of domestic violence.” said Anne Crews, Mary Kay Inc. Vice President of Government Relations and board member for The Mary Kay Foundation. “Through our grants, we honor and support shelters across the country that are having a profound impact for women and children in their communities. Since 2000, we have granted $31 million to help domestic violence shelters meet their critical needs and support their ongoing community efforts.”
