Larry Williams joins Tennessee State football coaching staff

Congratulations and best wishes to Larry Williams, Jr. who starts his first season at Tennessee State University (TSU) as running backs coach for the Tigers football team.

A 1994 graduate of American High School, Williams went on to attend Florida A&M University (FAMU), where he was a two-sport student-athlete from 1994-98, earning four letters in football and track & field.

Williams's coaching experience includes stints at Miles College; Edward Waters College; Florida International University; FAMU and with the semi-pro Tallahassee Thunder.

His father is Larry Williams, Sr., president of the Miami Northwestern Alumni Association and also a passionate Florida A&M University alum, especially regarding athletics.

There will be mixed emotions in the Williams household on September 7 when TSU plays FAMU at Bragg Stadium in Tallahassee.
