Today is the first day in a brand new year. We are Blessed to be here. So many people did not live to see this awesome day. Let's not focus on our challenges and failures of 2014. Let's learn from our experiences and continue moving forward.

Today is also Day 7, the last day, of Kwanzaa. The principle we celebrate is Imani (Faith). Imani (EE-MAH-NEE) focuses on honoring the best of our traditions, draws upon the best in ourselves, and helps us strive for a higher level of life for humankind, by affirming our self-worth and confidence in our ability to succeed and triumph in righteous struggle.
