This 2020 election season seems to have gone on forever. Many voters are exhausted from the vitriol, divisiveness, and outright lies. Well, in less than three days, the 2020 General Election will be over -- at least voting would have concluded. If Trump loses, he has already signaled, there may be mayhem and foolishness in the courts and the streets.

If you have not returned your absentee ballot, do not mail it. Drop it off or vote in person.

Here are our recommendations for Miami-Dade County races, for those of you voting this weekend or on Election Day. Never forget that your vote is your voice and your power. Let’s Go!

Miami-Biscayne Bay Links Host Virtual Conversation on Estate Planning to Create Generational Wealth

7D743DD2-7978-4AA6-BCF6-BA82E12DFE3B

Miami, FL -The Miami-Biscayne Bay (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host an Estate Planning Virtual Conversation designed to educate communities of color on the importance of drafting a will to communicate final wishes and determine inheritance rights to the assets of their estate. The virtual event will be held Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 6:30pm-7:30pm. A panel of legal experts will share strategies for the process of probate/succession assets and property, and ways to protect the legacy of land/home ownership. Speakers include Kisha'sha Sharp, Esq., Ruth Jean, Esq., and Sandy Boisrond, Esq.

“Our chapter is excited about presenting this important workshop to the community. Now more than ever, during this pandemic protecting ones’ assets is even more critical,” said Georgia McLean, President. Building generational wealth is jeopardized without the proper planning to protect one’s family legacy.

Additionally, Miami being susceptible to natural disasters such as hurricanes, descendants living in homes without clear title have been deemed ineligible for federal aid and forced to abandon damaged family homesteads.

The entire community is invited to attend this free virtual event, but must register in advance at: https://bit.ly/34ApfQI.
